At Otorhinolaryngology departments; diagnosis and treatment services are available for hearing losses, ear infections, balance disorders, dizziness, tinnitus, chronic sinusitis, nasal allergies, smelling disorders (dysosmia), nasal bleeding, nasal congestion, external nasal deformities, nasal diseases such as polyposis, obstructed eye tear ducts, speech disorders, swallowing problems, throat problems such as gastroesophageal reflux as well as head and neck tumors.
Moreover, audiologic tests, middle ear pressure and reflex tests, brain stem evoked audiometry and auto-acoustic emission tests – a very important screening method in assessment of hearing especially in newborn infants – are performed.
